Welcome to my Web site for the Passap E6000 Knitting Machine
Designed in the 1980s, the E6000 is a beautifully made machine. Mechanically, many are almost as new and the electronics may continue to work for many years. However, some electronic parts are no longer made, so failures can consign an otherwise perfect machine to the scrap yard. I'm a long retired electronic engineer and I aim to replace the Passap electronics entirely. The project team aims to develop a software/hardware system to replace the console with a modern software solution and a small electronic box I call the Lock Controller (LC).
Here you will find hardware designs of the LC, software, documentation and 3D models of small plastic parts. I hope you find this web site useful but first, please understand that this is an open source project and thus you are free to use any of the information herein. Read the Copyright tab for more information.
I thank Odile Lambert and Richard Croucher for their invaluable help.
